KampKid Privacy

KampKid: Camping Game for Kids is made by Blackwater Outdoor Journeys LC, Georgia, USA. We designed the app to work without collecting personal information.

What we collect

The KampKid app collects no personal information from anyone, children or adults. There are no accounts and no sign-in. The only personal information involved anywhere is a grown-up's email address and payment, and only when that grown-up chooses to buy the full game on the web; that goes to our payment processor, Stripe (see "The web version" below).

The game itself never connects to the internet and works fully offline. The only time a network is used is when a grown-up buys or restores the unlock, and that happens inside Apple's or Google's own purchase screen, not ours. It has no ads, analytics, tracking, third-party SDKs or advertising ID. It does not use location, camera, microphone, photos or contacts.

What stays on the device

Game progress is saved only on the device (and in your own device backups, if you use them). We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes the saved progress.

Real-world challenge cards ask a child to do the activity with a grown-up. The grown-up confirms through the parent gate. Nothing about that confirmation is stored except a check mark on the device.

Purchases and parent gates

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see payment details. Restore purchase is in the grown-ups area.

Links out of the app, the rating prompt, support and the purchase are all behind a parent gate.

The web version

KampKid can also be played in a web browser at kampkid.com/play/. Chapter 1 is free there too. The web version saves progress only in your browser's own storage on that device; we never receive it. It has no ads, analytics or tracking, and it does not ask a child for any information.

A grown-up can unlock Chapters 2 to 8 on the web with a one-time card payment, behind the parent gate. The payment happens on Stripe's secure checkout page. Stripe collects the grown-up's email address and card details to take the payment and send a receipt, under Stripe's privacy policy. We never see card details. Stripe keeps the record of the purchase, and we can see that record (the email address and the payment) in our Stripe account. To restore a web purchase in another browser, the grown-up enters the email used at checkout and we ask Stripe whether that email has a paid KampKid unlock. We do not keep a separate copy of the email or use it for marketing.

COPPA

KampKid is directed to children and collects no personal information from them. A web purchase is made by a grown-up, behind a parent gate, on Stripe's checkout page. Parents can contact us with questions.

GDPR and UK GDPR

The KampKid app processes no personal data. For a web purchase, Stripe processes the grown-up's email address and payment details to take the payment; we use that record only to provide and restore the unlock.
